A free app that “promises to make men’s dreams come true” has the internet reeling. The app uses “Deepfake” technology to digitally and realistically change photos of ANY fully clothed women to appear naked.
So far Facebook is the ONLY platform to remove images created by the app after #HuffingtonPost writer Jesselyn Cook publicized the app’s sinister capabilities. Do mainstream social media platforms have a responsibility to stop this?
